THE ALKALOIDS/MOSCOW EXPRESS/THE COMPLET
Beukende Bastonen, Zware Gitaar-riffs, Donderende Drums en een chicksinger; Dat zijn The Alkaloids! Door een gezamenlijke passie voor stonerrock en metal zijn The Alkaloids bij elkaar gekomen en begonnen aan het schrijven van eigen nummers.
Caveveteraan Mike Michels is de aanvoerder van dit partyorkest dat zichzelf omschrijft als “A very friendly band with some outstanding musicians who don’t like to toot their own horn but who will do so anyways because they want to become extremely famous.” Die omschrijving mag u met een flinke korrel zout nemen…maar reken erop dat de band goed is voor een feestje.
With their melodic basslines, heavy guitarriffs and firm drums, this ‘Funkrock Excentrio’ is a band that’s hard to compare. The threesome reminds of Primus, but with a more rock-feel. The Complet is a real musicians band, with a nice jam-flow and room for improvisation.
The year 2011 has started well for The Complet. In the spring, the band released their first EP called ‘Victims of’, which was immediately wellreceived by fans as well as outsiders. Also, The Complet performed rather often, and now they’re coming back for more! This fall, the band will do a small tour around their hometown, before hitting the studio again
